Pattern of Tolerance

Turning a seat pattern
into a symbol for equality.

We were presented with a rare opportunity: the BVG – Berlins public transport cannot use their iconic “Würmchen” pattern anymore because of a copyright dispute.

So we seized the moment and redesigned it with a twist:  now the pattern resembles the diversity of Berlin and its citizens. No matter the age, gender, size, religion, sexuality, other cultural background – we transport all people.

The pattern will be implemented in all public transportation vehicles throughout the next year.

About me

I love travelling and immersing myself in new environments, observing how culture shapes design.
This pursuit took me on a journey around the globe when I joined
 Miami Ad School in 2015.

Since then I worked with lots of talented people and won some awards at agencies such as:

Ogilvy / Tokyo
droga5 / New York
Kolle Rebbe / Hamburg
Jung von Matt / Hamburg
Antoni / Berlin
Grabarz & Partner / Hamburg
