How a granfluencer renamed the Double Whopper.

Meet Oma Grete — the 84-year-old Instagram sensation with 11,000 followers, a wicked sense of humor, and a no-nonsense feed of unfiltered product reviews alongside her son.

From wasabi nuts to churros, Grete dishes out her honest opinions — no hashtags, no filters, just pure, unfiltered charm. Then came the moment that changed everything: in a casual video, she mispronounced "Double Whopper" as "Doppel Moppen." The internet loved it. Burger King took notice.

Embracing the magic of the moment, we rebranded the Double Whopper as the "Doppel Moppen" and launched it exclusively in Grete's hometown of Troisdorf, Germany. The press couldn't get enough, and we even landed free coverage in Germany's most far-reaching online medium — BILD.
